Kazakhstan and South Korea plan to make their mutual trade more active. The Prime Ministers of two countries agreed during the talks on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Astana. May 16. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan and South Korea plan to make their mutual trade more active. The Prime Ministers of two countries agreed during the talks on Tuesday, the agency reports.

"The parties will make efforts to further increase volume of bilateral commodity turnover using all available potential," the joint statement of the governments of Kazakhstan and Korea informs.

Both republics "have supported further increase of efficiency of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, joint committee on cooperation in the field of energy and mineral resources, and agreed to hold the 1st session of the joint commission on cultural cooperation."

"The parties welcome participation of Korean companies in construction sector of Kazakhstan and are ready to cooperate in construction of the port, transport infrastructure and energy stations on the territory of Kazakhstan," the message informs.

According to official data, last year bilateral commodity turnover exceeded more than $843 million and in 2006 it made $590 million.
