Kazakhstan suggests developing programs of collective mutual help

Kazakhstan suggests developing within Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) the program of collective mutual help for solution of social issues. Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Ermekbayev stated during round table SCO - modern model of regional collaboration on Monday, the agency reports.

Astana. May 20. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan suggests developing within Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) the program of collective mutual help for solution of social issues. Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Ermekbayev stated during round table SCO - modern model of regional collaboration on Monday, the agency reports.

The important goal within collaboration of SCO member states is development of joint large-scale programs directed at overcoming social problems," N. Ermekbayev informed.

"In this connection, we need along with realization of economic projects to develop the programs of collective mutual help on assistance in development of small and medium sized manufacture, coordination of actions to solve problems of water use, and nature protection measures," he added.

N. Ermekbayev considers "measures on rendering address help, in particular, through the mechanism of inexpensive credits, food help to the poorest and socially disadvantaged layers of population, and the regions suffered from natural disasters occupy important place in the programs of collective mutual help."

"Success of such socially oriented policy will reduce social tension in some Central Asian regions and will be instrumental in stabilizing general political situation," Vice Minister underlined.
