Kazakhstan to adopt Norwegian experience of use of oil fund resources

Kazakhstan intends to adopt the Norwegian experience of use of oil fund resources. The arrangement has been reached during the meeting of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Norway, Haakon Magnus, who arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit, the agency reports.

Astana. February 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan intends to adopt the Norwegian experience of use of oil fund resources. The arrangement has been reached during the meeting of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Norway, Haakon Magnus, who arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit, the agency reports.

According to K. Masimov, "the arrangement that the Kazakhstan delegation will visit Norway, where it will study the experience of use of the resources of the oil national fund in more details, has been reached."

According to the Prime Minister, during the visit "a number of basic arrangements on cooperation in energy, agriculture, and tourism has been reached as well.

The memorandum of mutual understanding between the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Norway has been signed.

"Our Norwegian companies very actively work in the Caspian Sea including Aker and Statoil and are interested in the new projects in Kazakhstan."

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan, Sauat Mynbaev, said in an interview to journalists that Kazakhstan continues to work with the Norwegian companies, "in particular, in Abay oil deposit."
