Kazakhstan to finish negotiations with EU on WTO introduction

Kazakhstan in the near future will finish bilateral negotiations with the European Union on introduction into World Trade Organization (WTO). The chairman of the representation of the European Commission in Kazakhstan, Norber Zhusten, informed today, following the results of the 10th session of subcommittee Kazakhstan - EU, the agency reports.

Astana. October 15. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan in the near future will finish bilateral negotiations with the European Union on introduction into World Trade Organization (WTO). The chairman of the representation of the European Commission in Kazakhstan, Norber Zhusten, informed today, following the results of the 10th session of subcommittee Kazakhstan - EU, the agency reports.

"This is the last stage of negotiations on introduction into WTO," N. Zhusten said. "I think we have already approached the end," he emphasized.

"It is important to have a transparent system of cooperation in trade and investments to avoid discrimination of the European companies," the chairman of the representation of Euro Commission in Kazakhstan noted.

Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Aytzhanova, explained that the negotiations with the representatives of 21 countries have been completed. "These were very long negotiations where each country defends its interests and we defend our interests. It is important to find compromise formula," Z. Aytzhanova noted.
