Kyrgyzstan elected to UN Commission on Sustainable Development

Kyrgyzstan has been elected to the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek. May 7. Kazakhstan Today - Kyrgyzstan has been elected to the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, elections took place in the end of April in the UN headquarters. The main task of the commission is control of realization of the coordinated at the international level goals in the field of sustainable development, including in "the Agenda for XXI century" and Johannesburg Plan of Implementation.

According to the press service, the work in the commission will allow Kyrgyzstan contributing to taking measures necessary for solution of many actual world problems of mankind connected with the bases of sustainable development and environmental protection.

Kyrgyzstan has been elected to the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR).
