Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan should agree on parallel operation of Single Energy Ring up to October 25

Bishkek. October 3. Kazakhstan Today - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan should agree on parallel operation of Single Energy Ring up to October 25, Aleksey Borodin, Deputy Director General of National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan said.

As Aleksey Borodin told 24.kg news agency, preliminary October 25, Open Stock agreements have been already reached with Uzbekistan. "Date of negotiations in Tashkent is still not fixed. Most likely, it will take place the next week. We should work out the issue and sign an agreement on parallel operation of the United Energy System of Central Asia," Aleksey Borodin explained.

We recall, power experts have held talks in Astana on September 26-28, but have not managed find a unified solution. Kazakhstan has repeatedly voiced its intention to break the energy ring because of unauthorized takeoff of electricity by Uzbekistan. If it happens, electricity deficiency will make up almost 40 percent in North Kyrgyzstan.
