Launch complex Zenith in Baikonur to come to Kazakhstan

Baikonur. July 22. Kazakhstan Today - International Space Services agreed with the Kazakh state company to sell shares, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Transfer of Baikonur assets leased by Russia to Kazakhstan, is likely to start with the company International Space Services company (ISU), 50% of which owned by the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), the Izvestia newspaper informed.

According to the newspaper, ISU has the launch complex Zenith in Baikonuron loan, which is now preparing to launch rockets with Israeli satellite AMOS-4.

"We have agreed in principle with the Kazakh side, they will go to ISU. Now we are discussing the question of how to do this so that the company could receive investment capital and was able to put it in the purchase of equipment, including buying a stake in UMMC. Now we advise Kazakh partners on the upkeep and support of the existing infrastructure. The workand clarifying detailsis progress," said the ISU Deputy Director General, Mikhail Gerasyov.

According to the newspaper, ISU was created specifically for the "Land Launch" project, which was born as a complement to the "Sea Launch" project.
