Memorandum of mutual understanding between CSTO and SCO to be signed in Dushanbe

Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is planned to be signed on Friday, October 5, in Dushanbe during the regular session of the CSTO Council at the level of the leaders of the states, the agency reports referring to the CSTO press service.

Kazakhstan Today - Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is planned to be signed on Friday, October 5, in Dushanbe during the regular session of the CSTO Council at the level of the leaders of the states, the agency reports referring to the CSTO press service.

According to the press service, the document, for the first time recording common objectives and directions of cooperation of two international organizations of Eurasia, will be signed by the CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha and the SCO Secretary General Bolat Nurgaliyev.

The CSTO participants are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The SCO structure includes Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
