Near-Caspian states to coordinate breadth of coastal sovereign zone of each of state

The near-Caspian states will coordinate the breadth of the coastal zone of each of the state. This decision was accepted at the Third Summit of Heads of the Near-Caspian States taken place the day before in the capital of Azerbaijan, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

This decision was accepted at the Third Summit of Heads of the Near-Caspian States taken place the day before in the capital of Azerbaijan, the agency reports citing the president's press service.

During the summit, the Presidents of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Nazarbayev, Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev, Iran - Mahmud Ahmadinezhad, Russia - Dmitry Medvedev, and Turkmenistan - Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov discussed the questions of defining of the legal status of the Caspian Sea.

Following the results of the summit, the Presidents of the Caspian littoral states signed a joint statement and the safety cooperation agreement.
