Next session of Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of SCO states to be held in Dushanbe

The next session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of SCO member states will be held in Dushanbe on July 25. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ilyas Omarov, informed during Monday's weekly briefing in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. July 22. Kazakhstan Today - The next session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs of SCO member states will be held in Dushanbe on July 25. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ilyas Omarov, informed during Monday's weekly briefing in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"During the session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs the questions connected with preparation and carrying out of the session of the Council of leaders of SCO member states, planned for August 28, 2008 in Dushanbe will be discussed. The parties will exchange opinions on the actual international issues, including the main tendencies of development of the situation in the world, strengthening of stability and safety in the region of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," I. Omarov informed.

"SCO Ministers of Foreign Affairs will sign a number of decisions and will accept the joint information report, following the results of the session of Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs.

"Prior to the session of the session of SCO Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs, the session of the Council of National Coordinators of SCO member states will take place in Dushanbe on July 21-23 for discussion of the issues of preparation of the session of the Ministerial Council of Foreign Affairs and the summit of the leaders of SCO member states," I. Omarov concluded.
