Normative base developed for CRRF creation

The normative base has been developed for creation of Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF). The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed during the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, on Monday, the agency reports citing the official site of the President of Russia.

Almaty. June 9. Kazakhstan Today - The normative base has been developed for creation of Collective Rapid Response Forces (CRRF). The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolay Bordyuzha, informed during the meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, on Monday, the agency reports citing the official site of the President of Russia.

As informed earlier, N. Bordyuzha informed D. Medvedev of the course of preparation for the next CSTO summit planned for June 14. In particular, according to N. Bordjuzha, the normative base has been developed for CRRF creation.

The leaders of the CSTO states accepted the decision on CRRF creation in Moscow on February 4, 2009. CRRF will be used for struggle against military aggression, carrying out of special operations on struggle against international terrorism and extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and for liquidation of the consequences of emergencies.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
