Participation of President of Kazakhstan in Global Summit on Nuclear Security discussed

The Secretary of State - Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, and the USA Vice Minister of Energy, Daniel Poneman, on October 7 discussed preparation of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, for participation in the Global Summit on Nuclear Security, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Today - The Secretary of State - Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, and the USA Vice Minister of Energy, Daniel Poneman, on October 7, discussed preparation of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, for participation in the Global Summit on Nuclear Security, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, K. Saudabayev met US Vice Minister of Energy, D. Poneman, who is paying a working visit to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the officials considered the questions of preparation of the President of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev, for participation in the Global Summit on Nuclear Security in the spring of 2010 in the American capital.

K. Saudabaev also acquainted the American official with the initiative of the head of the state on declaration August 29 the International Day of Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
