PM of Russian Federation met President of Belorussia

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, met the President of Belorussia, Alexander Lukashenko, in Minsk on Monday, the agency reports referring to a source in administration of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

Moscow. October 7. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, met the President of Belorussia, Alexander Lukashenko, in Minsk on Monday, the agency reports referring to a source in administration of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

According to the source, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation held the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergey Sidorsky.

The parties discussed creation of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. According to the Russian Prime Minister, "creation of the Customs Union with Belarus and Kazakhstan would raise competitive opportunities of the states."

V. Putin considers prospect of coordination of custom duties important. "You have just mentioned the coordination of the custom duties. I consider that is very important, meaning our purpose - achievement of customs union, which would also include the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Russian Prime Minister said.

He emphasized that creation of the union will raise competitive advantages of the Customs Union member states in relations with other countries and other associations.
