President of Kyrgyzstan rewarded CIS award
Bishkek. April 8. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev has been rewarded the CIS award, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.
"The speakers-participants unanimously accepted the decision during the anniversary session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly taken place in St. Petersburg, the Speaker of zhogorku kenesh Adahan Madumarov informed during the talk with K. Bakiyev, Kyrgyzstan president's press service informs.
According to A. Madumarov, "the President of Kyrgyzstan has been rewarded this award for "huge contribution to strengthening of the Commonwealth of Independent States." The award will be given to the leader of the state during the official visit of the chairman of the Council of the Federation Sergey Mironov to Kyrgyzstan planned for September, 2008."
The Speakers of SCO member countries supported the initiative of development of parliamentary cooperation within the international organization and location of the headquarters for this purpose in Cholpon-Ate of Issyk-Kul oblast of Kyrgyzstan.
"During the meeting Bakiyev and Madumarov touched upon the questions of preparation for the CIS summit that will take place in September in Bishkek. 70 million som has been allocated in the republican budget," the press service informed.
