Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan held meeting in Baku

The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Ilham Aliyev, held the meeting in Baku, the agency reports citing the President's Administration of Azerbaijan.

The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan exchanged opinions on mutual relations, the regional, and international issues.

N. Nazarbayev arrived in Azerbaijan for an official visit. The Presidents are expected to sign some bilateral documents.

The officials are expected to sign five intergovernmental agreements: the agreements on payment of debts of Azerbaijan made as a result of trade and economic relations in 1992 - 1993, the agreements on cooperation in the field of veterinary science, on mutual on mutual visa-free trips for citizens, the cooperation agreements in the field of agriculture, and the joint declaration on creation of twin-cities Sumgait and Aktau."

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and the Kazakhstan National Company KazMunaiGas will sign the agreement on application of the Azerbaijan infrastructure for transportation of the Kazakhstan oil and the memorandum on development of the TransCaspian project.

N. Nazarbayev will take part in the ninth summit of the Turkic-speaking states, which will take place on October 3 in Nakhichevan.
