Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia discussed cooperation in sphere of nuclear power and space
Almaty. July 9. Kazakhstan Today - The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, discussed during working meeting in Astana cooperation in the sphere of nuclear power and space on Sunday, the agency reports referring to the press service of the President of Russia.
The leaders of the states discussed development of cooperation between two countries in civil nuclear power, peaceful space development, and integration into CIS. They also talked about construction of the Near-Caspian gas pipeline and expansion of capacities of Central Asia - Center pipeline.
As it was informed earlier, during the meeting D. Medvedev congratulated the leader of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev, on his birthday.
"I would like to begin my working day wishing you health and success because development and prosperity of Kazakhstan depend on these factors," D. Medvedev said.
"It was a great pleasure for me to be present at the solemn meeting devoted to the 10th anniversary of Astana," the President of the Russian Federation emphasized.
He expressed hope that Russia and Kazakhstan will further continue friendly cooperation.
N. Nazarbayev thanked D. Medvedev for participation in celebrations on the occasion of 10-year anniversary of Astana.
