Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation discussed mutual relations in security sphere

Aktobe. September 23. Kazakhstan Today - The Presidents of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation discussed mutual relations in security sphere. The President Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, informed at V International forum of the leaders of frontier territories of Kazakhstan and Russia on Monday, the agency reports.

"We discussed our mutual relations in the sphere of security and stability, counteraction to modern challenges, threats, including within the limits of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization and CICMA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia)," N. Nazarbayev said.

He said that "Kazakhstan stated its position at the bilateral meetings within the limits of SCO and CSTO sessions on the situation developed in Caucasus. They, as a whole, coincide and are aimed at prompt settlement of the conflict, development of effective measures on non-admission of bloodshed in the future. We have a common understanding of the situation that helps us to find mutually acceptable decisions."
