Presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan held negotiations in Bishkek

Bakiyev noted that it is the first official visit of the President of Russia to Kyrgyzstan and expressed confidence that this " visit will give a powerful impulse to further development of the Kyrgyzstan-Russian relations." He assured that the documents that will be accepted during the official visit will serve as a good base for further effective cooperation," K. Bakiyev said.

He also expressed gratitude to the Russian leadership for the help, support, and condolence in connection with the earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan on October 5 that resulted in human victims.
