Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia held telephone conversation

The President of Kazakhstan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, and the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, held telephone conversation, the agency reports referring to Turkmen state information agency (TDH).

Almaty. July 25. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, and the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, held telephone conversation, the agency reports referring to Turkmen state information agency (TDH).

According to TDH, the leaders of two states have noted high dynamics of development of the interstate cooperation based on principle of equality, mutual benefit, traditions of friendship and mutual sympathy between people of Turkmenistan and Russia.

Having exchanged opinions on a number of priority questions of partnership, the interlocutors have emphasized the importance of recently reached arrangements during the official visit of the President of Russia to Turkmenistan that will give a powerful impulse to development of relations between two countries. In this context, the Presidents coordinated the agenda of the forthcoming session of bilateral intergovernmental commission in the end of August in Ashkhabad, which will consider the questions of practical realization of the documents, signed in the Turkmen capital.

The parties noted the necessity to accelerate the work on preparation of agreements on mutual recognition of documents regarding education, cultural-technical cooperation, and organization of railway-ferry crossing between seaports of Turkmenistan and Russia.

The Presidents recognized importance of intensification of trade and economic and humanitarian cooperation between two countries, having agreed to develop a special program.

Telephone conversation took place at the initiative of the Russian party.
