Priority spheres of bilateral cooperation of Kazakhstan and Ukraine discussed in Akorda

The chairman of the president's administration of Kazakhstan Kayrat Kelimbetov and the chairman of the secretariat of the President of Ukraine Victor Baloga discussed priority spheres of bilateral cooperation during the meeting in Akorda on Saturday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of the president's administration of Kazakhstan Kayrat Kelimbetov and the chairman of the secretariat of the President of Ukraine Victor Baloga discussed priority spheres of bilateral cooperation during the meeting in Akorda on Saturday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.

According to the press service, K. Kelimbetov noted that the successfully started Year of Ukraine in Kazakhstan symbolizes positive dynamics of development of mutual relations and is called to strengthen friendly relations between the people of two countries.

K. Kelimbetov and V. Baloga, according to the press service, discussed the course of realization of the arrangements of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Victor Jushchenko reached during the official visit of the Ukrainian President to Kazakhstan, exchanged opinions on realization of the Plan of action Kazakhstan- Ukraine for 2007 - 2008, which defines the priority spheres of bilateral cooperation in various spheres.

During the meeting the parties discussed various perspective projects, for example, construction of oil refining factory and steam and gas power stations of various capacities in Ukraine, the press service informs.
