Projects of memorandums of EurAsEC, ECO interaction considered at CICMA session

Almaty. July 19. Kazakhstan Today - The projects of memorandums of mutual understanding planned to be signed with the secretariats of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) and the Organization of Economic Cooperation (ECO) have been considered in Almaty at the session of the special working group of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building in Asia (CICMA). The Chairman of the working group Tleuzhan Seksenbayev informed after the completion of two-day session, the agency reports.

"The session participants considered the projects of memorandums of mutual understanding, which CICMA secretariat plans to sign with the EurAsEC and ECO secretariats," T. Seksenbayev said, having noted "these documents mean establishment of contacts between working groups of the structures with a view of expansion of cooperation and exchange of experience."

According to T. Seksenbayev, during the session the working group considered and coordinated the project of the budget of the secretariat for 2008.

The Chairman of the special working group specified that the main item on the agenda was consideration of how the CICMA member states coordinate realization of the measures of building trust, having added, that, "the projects of concepts and the plan of action for 2008 - 2009 on cooperation in humanitarian sphere coordinated by Kazakhstan have been discussed."

T. Seksenbayev informed that "the consolidated project of the convention prepared by the Kazakhstan party between CICMA member states on legitimacy, privileges and immunities of CICMA secretariat was discussed at the meeting. Signing of the convention is expected in 2008.
