Representatives of Central Asian Republics and Russia to take part in international conference on migration

The representatives of the Central Asian Republics and Russia will take part in the international conference on problems of migration, which will be held on March 11-12 in Bishkek, the agency reports referring to Kyrgyzstan State Committee for Migration and Employment.

Kazakhstan Today - The representatives of the Central Asian Republics and Russia will take part in the international conference on problems of migration, which will be held on March 11-12 in Bishkek, the agency reports referring to Kyrgyzstan State Committee for Migration and Employment.

"The meeting will take place at the inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental level, within the limits of the project on labor migration in Central Asia, financed by European Union," the State Migration Committee of Kyrgyzstan informed.

The representatives of the governments and parliaments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia, experts on migration and other interested departments of these countries will participate in the meeting.

The agenda, according to State Migration Committee, includes a wide list of questions, among them - struggle against illegal migration, human trafficking, labor migration, settlement of the situation in labor market and others. The participants will discuss an opportunity of coordination of migration policy in CIS countries, EurAsEC, CSTO and SCO, the project of the concept of legal status of workers-migrants and the members of their families, as well as the questions, connected with the work of the Council for Migration bodies of CIS countries created in January, 2008. The chairman of Migration Council of the Russian Federation Konstantin Romodanovsky has been elected the chairman of the Council for Migration bodies of CIS countries, the co-chairman - the chairman of the State Committee for Migration and Employment of Kyrgyzstan Aygul Ryskulova.
