RK Foreign Ministry, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Egypt discussed prospects of cooperation development

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Egypt, Mohammed Rashid, discussed the prospects of cooperation development, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Astana. August 29. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Egypt, Mohammed Rashid, discussed the prospects of cooperation development, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

"During the negotiations the parties discussed prospects of development of the relations of two countries in political, trade and economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres," the press release informs.

According to the press service, M. Rashid arrived in Astana at M. Tazhin's invitation.

"Egypt is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the Near East and Northern Africa and in the Arabian and Islamic world. Cooperation of two countries in political sphere has been developing successfully within the limits of the international and regional organizations," the message informs.

Trade and economic cooperation between two countries has been developing successfully. The Intergovernmental Commission and Business Council have been created. In 2007 Kazakhstan imported 329.6 thousand tons of grain to Egypt, and as of March, 20 of 2008 - 312.7 thousand tons. The countries reached the agreement on import of up to 2 million tons of Kazakhstan grain annually in the long term.
