Almaty. September 17. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation still considers creation of the Black Sea grain pool necessary, despite a negative attitude of Ukraine. Director of Department of Food and Processing Industry and Quality of Production of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Kiril Kolonchin, informed at an event - Moscow and Kiev Crop 2010, the agency reports citing RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

"The Black Sea grain pool is not only a good idea, but the only way for Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to trade with Africa and the Near East in a civilized way," K. Kolonchin said.

He said that partners in Egypt and the Near East countries frequently negatively respond to the quality of grain. The question of logistics within creation of such pool is the priority issue both for Russia and for Kazakhstan.

"When Russia copes with drought problems, there will be again a probability that the grain yield will exceed 100 million tons and it will be necessary again to sell its surpluses. Ukraine and Kazakhstan will then begin active competition for the world markets.
