Russia, Kazakhstan inked agreement on joint development of Imashev gas condensate deposit

Almaty. September 8. Kazakhstan Today - Russia and Kazakhstan signed a series of documents on cooperation, in particular, the joint development of the Imashev gas condensate deposit. The documents were signed during VII Forum of Inter-Regional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan with participation of the heads of states, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Yury Trutnev and the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbaev signed the intergovernmental agreement on the joint geological research and development of the Imashev transboundary gas condensate deposit.

Russia and Kazakhstan signed two other intergovernmental agreements on cross-border cooperation and the joint trans-border water area protection.

Russian Railways CEO Vladimir Yakunin and president of JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Askar Mamin signed the memorandum of mutual cooperation of the railways of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan in to support effective implementation of the Customs Union transit potential.

The heads of some regions of two countries signed a series of agreements, in particular, the akimat of the Eastern Kazakhstan area signed the agreements on trade, economic, social, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation with three subjects of the Russian Federation: Altai Territory, the Republic of Altai, and the Novosibirsk region.
