Russia plans to use territory of Kazakhstan for transit of cargoes from China

Russia intends to use the territory of Kazakhstan for transit of cargoes from China, the agency reports citing Russian news agency Regnum.

Almaty. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - Russia intends to use the territory of Kazakhstan for transit of cargoes from China, the agency reports citing Russian news agency Regnum.

During the sixth session of transport subcommittee of the Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan taken place in Moscow, the Russian party suggested experimental carrying out of transportation of cargoes in 2009 along the route Urumchi - Bahty - Veseloyarsk - Barnaul - Novosibirsk.

The Russian party has suggested exchanging entry visas for 50 trips of carriers of each side. The parties agreed to further discuss the issue at the conferences in Almaty at the tripartite meeting of the Ministers of Transport of Kazakhstan, Russia and China in June, 2009.
