Almaty. April 28. Kazakhstan Today - Russia has suggested developing a universal international legal document on energy cooperation. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Alexey Borodavkin, said in Bangkok at the 65th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

"I wish ESCAP would support this initiative and contribute to its development taking into account the priorities of the member states of the commission," A. Borodavkin said.

He emphasized that the system of power supply should be stable, transparent, not discriminatory and universal. It should guarantee sovereignty of the states over their natural resources, encourage investments, promote formation of favorable taxation modes and take into account the interests of all participants of the energy market: manufacturers, consumers and those states that provide transit of energy resources.
