SCO antiterrorist exercises to be held in Kazakhstan in 2010

Almaty. May 5. Kazakhstan Today - The antiterrorist exercises of the state-participants of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in the south of Kazakhstan in 2010, the agency reports citing Internet-portal Utro.ru.

According to Utro.ru that cites the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Serdyukov, the SCO member states will hold antiterrorist exercises Peace Mission - 2010 in the territory of Kazakhstan.

According to the chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, Muhtar Altynbayev, the exercises will pass in the south of Kazakhstan, in the settlement Guards.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia and Uzbekistan. Countries-observers are India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan.
