Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid arrived for official visit in Kyrgyzstan

The delegation of five members of the USA Senate headed by Senate Majority Leader, Senator from Nevada State, Harry Reid arrived yesterday in Bishkek, the agency reports referring to Public Relations Department of US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek. August 5. Kazakhstan Today - The delegation of five members of the USA Senate headed by Senate Majority Leader, Senator from Nevada State, Harry Reid arrived yesterday in Bishkek, the agency reports referring to Public Relations Department of US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

"During a three-day visit the delegation and the leadership of Kyrgyzstan will discuss questions of strengthening of mutual relations and economic cooperation. Today the President of Kyrgyzstan, Kurmanbek Bakiyev will meet the delegation," the diplomatic representatives informed.

The Senators will familiarize with the US assistant programs to Kyrgyzstan, will meet Peace Corps volunteers and will visit aviation base Manas. The structure of the delegation, besides Senator Reid, includes Senator Jeff Bingeman, Senator Bill Nelson, Senator Johnny Isakson and Senator Robert Menendes.

Senator Reid has been a member of the Supreme Chamber of the US Congress since 1986 and since 2006 - Senate Majority Leader.
