Slovakia imported from Kazakhstan the goods for the sum of $21 million and exported for the sum of $32 million. The State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Slovak Republic, Peter Zhiga, said during business-forum Kazakhstan - Slovakia: new prospects for business on Wednesday, the agency reports.

Astana. September 18. Kazakhstan Today - Slovakia imported from Kazakhstan the goods for the sum of $21 million and exported for the sum of $32 million. The State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Slovak Republic, Peter Zhiga, said during business-forum Kazakhstan - Slovakia: new prospects for business on Wednesday, the agency reports.

"Slovakia imported goods from Kazakhstan for the sum of $21 million for over 5 months, 2008, growth made 42 %, exported - $32 million, and growth made 22 %," P. Zhiga said.

Vice chairman of the Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan, Jan Muratbekov, has in details informed on investment opportunities of Kazakhstan at the business forum. "Volume of direct investments from Slovakia to Kazakhstan from 1993 until 2008 has made $32.7 million," he informed.

During the work of the forum Slovak businessmen were acquainted with conditions of access of the Kazakhstan market. The Kazakhstan businessmen had an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the Slovak companies intending to open business in Kazakhstan.

Upon completion of the business-forum organized by the Kazakhstan center of assistance to investments Kazinvest and Slovak agency for development of investments and commerce, the representatives of Slovak and Kazakhstan enterprises held negotiations.
