South Korea plan to expand participation in oil-and-gas sector of Kazakhstan - Khan Syn Soo

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Prime Minister of South Korea Khan Syn Soo discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Astana. May 14. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Prime Minister of South Korea Khan Syn Soo discussed prospects of bilateral cooperation on Tuesday, the agency reports.

According to the press secretary of the leader of the state Yerlan Bayzhanov, the parties discussed the questions of cooperation in oil-and-gas sphere.

"The Korean party would like to expand its participation in oil-and-gas sector of Kazakhstan," the press secretary informed. He added that "the position of Kazakhstan consists in welcoming participation of the Korean business on those principles being proposed by Kazakhstan - industrialization of Kazakhstan - work in oil-and-gas sector should be combined with creation of industrial manufacture on the basis of modern technologies," the press secretary emphasized.

According to Y. Bayzhanov, the Prime Minister Khan Syn Soo passed the message of the President of South Korea with the invitation to the President of Kazakhstan to visit Korea. "Kazakhstan President thanked and invited the President of Korea to visit Kazakhstan," he said.

The parties discussed development of cooperation in the field of economy and policy.
