South Korea to allocate $12 million to Uzbekistan

Almaty. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - This year, South Korea will allocate $12 million as an assistance to Uzbekistan to improve strategic partnership of two countries, the agency reports citing electronic edition The Korea Times.

Yesterday, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Korea, Yu Myung-hwan, and his Uzbek counterpart, Eler Ganiev, signed four agreements on rendering economic help to Uzbekistan.

According to the agreements, Seoul will give $8.65 million to Uzbekistan in addition to the present annual budget at the rate of about $3 million.

"Total sum of the help of Korea to Uzbekistan this year will total $12 million, taking into account the funds created for 57 volunteers and invitation of 97 Uzbek experts to Korea for training and support to the non-governmental organizations."
