Subcommittee Kazakhstan - EU discussed realization of EU strategy in field of justice and law and order

Subcommittee for migration, security, judicial system and the ladership of right in participation of representatives of the state bodies of Kazakhstan and European Commissions (EU) discussed realization of EU strategy in the field of justice and the law and order during the 7 sessions, the agency reports referring to the press service of State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Today - Subcommittee for migration, security, judicial system and the ladership of right in participation of representatives of the state bodies of Kazakhstan and European Commissions (EU) discussed realization of EU strategy in the field of justice and the law and order during the 7 sessions, the agency reports referring to the press service of State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, the parties discussed the policy and the global approach of EU to migration. Last achievements of the initiative in the sphere of boundary control in Central Asia and the results of the last regional meetings concerning security have been considered.

According to the press release widespread today, "both parties have agreed that there are many challenges in migration sphere, including the problems connected with trade in people, labor migration and agreements on readmission, which demands more steadfast attention of both parties in the field of migration."

"The parties exchanged information concerning struggle against circulation of drugs and undertaken efforts on its reduction and considered reciprocal measures on the results of the Meeting of Three EU with the countries of Central Asia concerning drugs taken place in Brussels on October 1, 2008," the press service explained.

The participants discussed prospects of joining by Kazakhstan of the European conventions in the field of criminal prosecution and legal cooperation on civil issues.
