Turkmenistan President to visit Turkish Republic

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov will visit the Republic of Turkey on March 24-25 by the invitation of Abdulla Gul, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the country informed the agency.

Following the results of the negotiations of the Presidents of two countries, the parties will sign the interstate documents.

During the visit of the Turkmen President to Istanbul the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan will be organized, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

As it was informed earlier, this will be a reciprocal visit. The Turkish President A.Gul visited Kazakhstan in December, 2007. Being in Turkmenistan, the leaders of two states made the pilgrimage to Turkmen sacred places and visited mausoleum Nadjmeddin Kubra being a part of the memorial complex Uch yuz altmysh (Three hundred sixty), and made the decision on construction of the big mosque.

Turkish businessmen will take part in a number of investment projects in Turkmenistan. The Turkish firm Polimeks will construct in the Caspian port of the city Turkmenbashi (former Krasnovodsk) the airport, runway with the extent of 3.5 kilometers, parking for planes and the centralized station for maintenance of air ships with fuel. The company will reconstruct and construct the buildings of the airport. The Turkish power company will construct new Ashgabat power station that will cost 120 million euro.

The Turkish businessman working in Turkmenistan from the middle of the 90th Ahmet Chalyk Berdymuhamedov has been proposed to prepare the offers on participation of the company headed by him in the development program of the petrochemical industry of Turkmenistan.

About 450 Turkish enterprises have been registered in Turkmenistan.
