Ukraine plans to sign agreement with EU on free trade zone - Jushchenko

"On February, 18 we commenced official negotiations on formation of free trade zone," Victor Jushchenko reminded.

We hope that we will sign the agreement with EU on free trade zone in the nearest 10-11 months, he added.

"Our purpose - to qualitatively prepare this year the profound agreement between Europe and Ukraine, where a leitmotif of the document will be political association and economic integration of Ukraine and EU," the President of Ukraine concluded.

As it was informed earlier, the President of Kazakhstan noted that Kazakhstan became large trading partner of Ukraine.

"The economic result of our cooperation is quite good, growth of commerce between our countries has grown by 64.4 % and Kazakhstan became large trading partner of Ukraine," N. Nazarbayev noted.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that the reached turnover - about $3 billion does not satisfy Kazakhstan.

"It could have been more and in the near future we should reach its increase by 2 times, that is about $5 billion," the leader of Kazakhstan noted.
