US officials investigate case on money laundering in construction of gas pipeline through Kazakhstan

The three citizens of Russia, Armenia and Greece are charged in the case.
The American officials brought charges in the case of money laundering relating to the construction of a gas pipeline from Kazakhstan to China, sputniknews.kz reports.

According to the Ministry of Justice of the USA referring to the data of the investigation, a 50-year Russian Vitaly Leshkov took part in the criminal scheme on laundering corrupted payments to foreign officials. The payments were made to the branch of Rolls-Royce in Ohio to ensure the participation of the company in the contracts on equipment delivery.

In addition to the Russian man, charges were also brought to a 62-year citizens of Armenia Azat Martorosyan and a 70-yeat citizens of Greece Petros Kontoguris.

It is reported that the three men live beyond the USA.
