1.5 billion euro to be invested in Kazakhstan in case of ratification of Kyoto Protocol

The Environmental Protection Minister, Nurlan Iskakov, at the press conference devoted to the audit of the systems of ecological management informed during two-three years of implementation of Kyoto Protocol, in case of its ratification, Kazakhstan will attract 1.5 billion euro, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The Environmental Protection Minister, Nurlan Iskakov, at the press conference devoted to the audit of the systems of ecological management informed during two-three years of implementation of Kyoto Protocol, in case of its ratification, Kazakhstan will attract 1.5 billion euro, the agency reports.

"The expected investments, in case of ratification of Kyoto Protocol, will reach from $400 up to $700 million a year," N. Iskakov said.

"We will involve not less than one and a half billion euro in our country in the form of technology and technical equipment," he said.
