20 bills to be introduced to Kazakhstan parliament in first half of 2008

Astana. December 31. Kazakhstan Today - In the first half of 2008 20 bills, including two new codes, will be introduced to Kazakhstan Parliament. The official representative of the senate Murat Nurtleuov informed at the briefing, the agency reports.

"According to the plan of billing works of the government, about 20 bills, including two codes - on Health and the System of Public Health Services and on Marriage and Family for 2007 are expected to be introduced in the parliament," M. Nurtleuov said.

He specified that the bills should be introduced in the parliament in 2008, up to the end of the present session of the parliament session lasts from September till June inclusive).

M. Nurtleuov noted that this year the parliament introduced 111 laws, including 16 independent. The significant number of laws, as he said, was accepted in connection with carrying out of the constitutional reform and adoption of the amendments to the Kazakhstan Constitution.

Labor Code and the new Law on Education were accepted this year.
