Astana. November 30. Kazakhstan Today - 30 police advisers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will be sent to Kyrgyzstan to render advisory help. Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre, Herbert Zalber, informed at a briefing, the agency reports.

"We had a dialogue with the Kyrgyz authorities concerning the change of the political situation in the country and we have a little reconsidered the assistance's concept in the police sphere. This new concept was confirmed 10 days ago in Vienna by the OSCE Permanent Council," H. Zalber informed.

According to the concept "fewer people will be sent to Kyrgyzstan: instead of 52 there will be about 30 or 31 policemen." "This action will not be continuing for four months, as it was initially planned, but the whole year."

"The goals are to render advisory help to the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, to expand cooperation of the police with the local communities, and to reduce level of interethnic conflicts with the help of police," Director of the OSCE Center informed.
