4 bln as sum of compensation for pulling down illegal structures in Almaty - incorrect - Finance Ministry

Astana. September 25. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Natalia Korzhova considers that the sum of compensation for pulling down of illegal structures in Almaty at the rate of $4 bln can be changed. She said today in the interview to journalists upon termination of the government session, the agency reports.

"The sum is big, but it is a little bit virtual. That is an estimation, not the sum that is possible to conduct serious conversation about," N. Korzhova.

"The working group continues to conduct research. 2 more weeks are given to check, to work with each proprietor, to understand: who made such decisions on allocation of the land for construction, and on the basis of what they were made," she said, having added, that "the question of indemnification is always the issue that is preceded by extensive work with the documents."

As it was informed earlier, on September 11, the commission headed by the Prime Minister of the country, concerning building up in Almaty, had been created in the government on behalf of the leader of the state. The structure of the commission included the Ministers of Finance, Justice, Economy and Budgetary Planning, Industry and Commerce, Environmental Protection, Emergency Minister, the chairman of the Agency for Land Resources, and also the assistant to the General Public Prosecutor.
