Active phase of final stage of joint command-staff exercise Rubezh-2008 started in Armenia

Active phase of the final, fourth stage of the joint command-staff exercise Rubezh- 2008 of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) started in Armenia, the agency reports referring to RIA Novosti.

Almaty. August 22. Kazakhstan Today - Active phase of the final, fourth stage of the joint command-staff exercise Rubezh- 2008 of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) started in Armenia, the agency reports referring to RIA Novosti.

The final phase of joint command-staff exercise Rubezh-2008 is taking place on Marshal Bagramyan range. 2.5 thousand military men of armed forces of Armenia and Russia are participating in the exercise.

The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandyan, CSTO Secretary General, Nikolay Bordyuzha, chairmen of defense-related departments of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as military attaches of Russia, the USA, Great Britain, China, Iran, Greece, and Bulgaria are participating in the event.

As it was informed earlier, Kazakhstan is presented by the delegation headed by Vice Defense Minister, Bulat Dzhanasayev.
