Administrative reform directed at creation of efficient public administration system

The administrative reform is directed at creation of the efficient system of public administration and increase of overall performance of state bodies, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov stated opening on Monday the courses of improvement of qualification for the top echelon of civil servants in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

Astana. April 21. Kazakhstan Today - The administrative reform is directed at creation of the efficient system of public administration and increase of overall performance of state bodies, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov stated opening on Monday the courses of improvement of qualification for the top echelon of civil servants in the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"Modern challenges, first of all, globalization of economy, make us to reconsider the system of public administration," the Prime Minister explained.

He reminded that the objectives set by the administrative reform result from the Development Strategy of Kazakhstan-2030.

"Successful carrying out of the administrative reform should provide formation of modern competitive economy," K. Masimov said.

He explained improvement of quality of rendered state services and decrease of intervention of the state into private sector should be achieved.

The course of improvement of qualification of the state employees of the top echelon will take place in the Academy of Public Administration on April 21- 25. The Professors from York University (Great Britain), London Business School, Colombian University (USA), independent international experts, and Kazakhstan government members have been invited to conduct the course.
