Alexander Sudin appointed Senate vice Speaker

Today at the plenary session of the Senate the deputies elected vice-President of the Chamber - Alexander Sudin, the agency reports.

Astana. September 3. Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session of the Senate the deputies elected vice-President of the Chamber - Alexander Sudin, the agency reports.

"According to the amendments to the Constitutional Law on Parliament and the Status of its Deputies, the Chairman of the Senate has two assistants... I propose the candidature of the deputy Sudin Alexander Sergeevich," the Senate Speaker Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev stated at the plenary session.

42 of 42 deputies present at the session voted for this decision.

As it was informed earlier, the Senate structure, according to the amendments introduced to the Constitution, has increased from 39 up to 47 members. The increase has occurred due to expansion of the presidential quota of appointed senators from 7 up to 15 people. One of these days, the leader of the state signed the decree on appointment of eight deputies of the Senate, including Alexander Sudin, who earlier headed the Human Resource Department of the president's administration.
