American congressman received Dostyk award

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev handed over Dostyk award of the first degree for strengthening of communications between two countries to Eni Faleomavaega, the president's press service informed.

Astana. September 2. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev handed over Dostyk award of the first degree for strengthening of communications between two countries to Eni Faleomavaega, the president's press service informed.

According to the press service, the high award took place during the meeting of the leader of the state with American congressmen Eni Faleomavaega and Chris Kennono.

"During the meeting the President noted that the Chairman of sub-committee for Asian and Pacific states of the US congress Eni Faleomavaega is one of the most active supporters of Kazakhstan," the press service explained, having added that "the congressman, who is a part of the Kazakhstan-American inter-parliamentary group of friendship, repeatedly initiated applications in support of Kazakhstan ".

Today after the meeting with N. Nazarbayev, E. Faleomavaega stated that "there are no doubts that Kazakhstan will play one of leading roles among the states connected with energy, and not only in this region, but also all over the world."

The congressman also initiates the necessity of creation of joint American-Kazakhstan working group on research of the consequences of nuclear tests in Kazakhstan.
