B. Imashev appointed Secretary of Security Council

Astana. January 12. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev decreed the appointment of Berik Imashev as the Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan and his dismissal from the post of the deputy chairman of the President's administration, the President's press service informed the agency.

B. Imashev was born in June 1960 in Almaty. He graduated from Moscow State University as specialist in law. He worked in the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan and in the Agency for small enterprises. Imashev worked as vice president of Kazkommerts bank, vice president of the State Property Committee, the President's envoy in the sphere of development of small enterprises.

He held the post of the chairman of the Agency for regulation of natural monopolies, protection of competition and support of small enterprises.

B. Imashev worked as Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan till May 2005.

On October 18, 2005 B. Imashev was appointed Deputy Chairman of the President's administration.
