Bordyuzha arrived in Dushanbe

The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha arrived in Dushanbe for a three-day visit, the CSTO headquarters informed the agency.

Moscow. April 14. Kazakhstan Today - The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha arrived in Dushanbe for a three-day visit, the CSTO headquarters informed the agency.

During the visit N. Bordyuzha will carry on negotiations with the top management of Tajikistan - the President Emomali Rahmon, the Minister of Defense Sherali Hayrulloyev, the chairman of the Emergency Committee Hayrullo Latipov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hamrohon Zarifi. The negotiations will be devoted to prospects of cooperation within the CSTO and as well as to participation of the organization in rendering assistance to Tajikistan suffered last winter from strong frosts, which led to energy crisis and humanitarian accident. With arrival of spring the situation has not improved, frosts were replaced by drought and locust invasion.

The parties will discuss security issues on the Tajik-Afghani border.
