CEC begins accreditation of international observers to elections of Senate deputies

Astana. August 13. Kazakhstan Today - The Central Election Committee begins accreditation of the international observers for supervision over elections of deputies of the Senate of the Parliament. The decision was accepted at the session of the Central Election Committee today, the agency reports.

"Accreditation will be made by the Central Election Committee in coordination with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," Tatyana Ohlopkova, CEC member, informed.

"Accreditation of observers will last till the end of September 28, 2008," she added.

The chairman of Central Election Committee, Kuandyk Turgankulov, during the briefing for press reminded that 52 observers of the international organizations and foreign states were accredited to elections of deputies of the Senate of the Parliament in 2005.

Elections of deputies of the Senate of the Parliament are planned for October 4, 2008.
