Central Asia - Kazakhstan foreign policy priority

Аstana. January 23. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan in its foreign policy will pay special attention to the Central Asia, the Kazakh Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic Marat Tazhin said today.

"Kazakhstan should draw special attention to the Central Asia that the President of the State defined as "the sphere of vital interests for Kazakhstan and our nearest neighbors," M. Tazhin said at the board of the department. "It is in our national interests to promote the growth of competitiveness of the whole region that will allow achieving our strategic objectives as well.

At the same time M. Tazhin considers that it is necessary to draw more attention to strengthening of the national security. "In the conditions of complication of the situation at our borders we will pay the most steadfast attention to strengthening of the system of the national safety," the Minister emphasized. "The reliable safety is not only the mortgage of social stability and economic progress, but also the important condition of steady democratic development," he noted.
