Central Election Committee approved elected deputies of Senate of Parliament

Astana. October 8. Kazakhstan Today - The Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan approved the elected deputies of the Senate of Parliament. The Secretary of the Central Election Committee Bahyt Meldeshov informed at the briefing on Tuesday, the agency reports.

According to B. Meldeshov, the project of the regulation on establishment and publication of the results of the elections taken place on October 4, 2008 of deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan has been completed. "According to the project, the Central Election Committee made the decision to recognize elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan taken place," he said.

"The election of deputies from Akmola oblast - Svetlana Dzhalmagambetova, from Aktobe - Erlan Amirov, from Almaty - Nurlan Suleymenov, from Atyrau - Sarsembay Esegenov, from East Kazakhstan - Sergey Plotnikov, from Zhambyl - Alexander Savchenko, from West-Kazakhstan - Erbolat Mukanov, from Karaganda - Jury Kovalchuk, from Kyzylorda - Kozhahmet Baymahanov, from Kostanay - Kusain Valiev, from Mangistau - Michael Bortnik, from Pavlodar - Ermek Zhumabayev, from Northern - Kazakhstan - Anatoly Bashmakov, from the South-Kazakhstan oblast - Orynbay Rahmangardiyev, from Astana - Kaysar Omarov, and from Almaty - Zhumabek Toregeldinova," B. Meldeshov informed.

As it was informed earlier, "the elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed in conditions of competitive and correct struggle according to the election legislation of Kazakhstan and as a whole met the requirements of the international democratic standards," the Committee for Control over Elections informed in the press release of the Republican Association."

Committee for Control over Elections noted significant improvement of administration of elections, openness and transparency of the election commissions, and effective work of the Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan.

Infringements, which could have affected the course and the results of the elections, have not been registered. The Committee for Control over Elections did not receive any complaints from the participants of the election process, political parties, legal or physical entites.
