Central Election Committee expects increase in quantity of international observers at elections of Senate deputies. The chairman of Central Election Committee, Kuandyk Turgankulov, said today during the seminar-meeting concerning organization and carrying out of election campaign of elections of Senate deputies for the Parliament, the agency reports.

Astana. August 8. Kazakhstan Today - Central Election Committee expects increase in quantity of international observers at elections of Senate deputies for the Parliament. The chairman of Central Election Committee, Kuandyk Turgankulov, said today during the seminar-meeting concerning organization and carrying out of election campaign of elections of Senate deputies, the agency reports.

"There were more than 50 international observers in 2005 and this year we expect much more observers," K. Turgankulov said.

Vice chairman of Central Election Committee, Vladimir Foos, informed that the work on opening institute of international observers for the forthcoming elections has been done.

"Central Electoral Committee has sent to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs the letter with the request for opening of the institute of international observers," V. Foos informed.

As it was informed earlier, elections of Senate deputies for the Parliament have been scheduled for October 4, 2008.
